With the audit resulting in being able to see their strengths and weaknesses, along with the kind of interaction they have with their followers.

Target demographic – Based off of their twitter posts they are trying to reach male and females between the ages of 20 and 50 that are interested in the public relations field and/or already working in it.
Number of Profile Followers/Likes – Profile Followers = 115.8k
Evaluate performance – While the PR Daily does have a good following on Twitter their overall interaction on the social media platform does not display that. With having 115.8k followers on twitter they have a good-sized audience to give information to, however, they seem to be missing the mark with their best tweet in the last two months having a total interaction of 41. They are specifically lacking in comments when it comes to their Twitter platform, having people respond only 6% of the time. Due to this, I would suggest that they look into what their audience currently talking about and try to relate some of their posts towards that topic. Along with making their post more interactive, like starting a competition or taking a poll. Overall they have a large audience but need to strategize on how to engage more effectively with them.

Target demographic – Based off of their facebook posts they are trying to reach male and females between the ages of 20 and 50 that are interested in the public relations field and/or already working in it.
Number of Profile Followers/Likes – Profile Followers = 108,766 and Profile Likes = 106,339
Evaluate performance – PR Daily has a strong presence of Facebook with 108,766 followers and 106,339 profile likes. However, it does need to work on engaging its followers, due to the fact that follower interaction is very low. Out of 108 posts, there were only 8 comments altogether, to try and boost follower interaction they should look into what their target demographic is into and base their posts off of the knowledge. For example, their post with the most interaction in the past two months was one relating to social media, suggesting that is a topic that resonates with their target demographic. So based on that information, they should try to post more interactive posts about social media. With PR Daily’s large audience they will are able to reach a lot of people but need to strategize and learn how to engage more efficiently and effectively with them.
Through completing this social media audit I was able to evaluate PR Daily’s social media presence. While on both Twitter and Facebook, PR Daily had a rather large audience to interact with. However, when it came to the interaction it seemed to fall short. Both Twitter and Facebook had rather low interaction on the most popular posts in the past two months for their audience size. Overall, Twitter had the most interactions and most posts. When it came to both of their most popular posts, however, they were both about writing strategies and tools. This suggests that this is something their audience is interested in. Additionally, on both Twitter and Facebook, their video posts seemed to gain more interaction from their audience, indicating that they should post more content in video form. I would also recommend that they take the time to look into what their audience is interested in. This way they can relate this newfound interest in a post, creating more attraction. This audit was able to show that PR Daily has a large audience, they still need to work on engaging their followers to create a more meaningful and impactful message.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
